Creem

Creem is a merchant of record aimed at indie software sellers, with lower fees than the larger platforms.

What you need

That's all. The mode comes from the key itself — a key prefixed creem_test_ addresses Creem's sandbox automatically, so there is no separate mode setting to get wrong. The console shows which mode it detected after you paste it.

Webhook

Add it in Creem → Developers → Webhook, pointing at the URL shown in the console, and paste the secret back.

Subscribe: checkout.completed, subscription.active, subscription.paid, subscription.canceled, subscription.expired, refund.created.

Plans

Automatic — with one exception.

No weekly billing

Creem's billing periods are monthly, quarterly, semiannual and yearly. A weekly plan is skipped when syncing to Creem rather than created as monthly, because billing someone monthly when the plan says weekly is worse than not selling it.

If a weekly plan doesn't appear in Creem, that's why. Change the cycle or sell it through a different provider.

Creem product prices are fixed at creation, so a price change creates a replacement product. Creem exposes no archive or delete endpoint, so superseded products stay in your dashboard — harmless, since nothing links to them, but you may want to tidy them up occasionally.

Test mode

Toggle Test Mode at the bottom of the left sidebar in the Creem dashboard, then use a creem_test_ key. Test and production are fully isolated — data and keys are not interchangeable.
